How the Copenhagen Card works
The Copenhagen Card is purely digital. You book it here, load it into the app with your order code and only activate it once you are in Copenhagen.

Before the trip: book and load
You book the Copenhagen Card here for 24 or 48 hours. After booking you receive an order code by email. Install the Copenhagen Card City Guide app and enter the code; the card then appears in the app. Children aged 3 to 11 get their own kids card at the child rate, with up to two kids cards per adult card.
Buying early costs you nothing: nothing expires until you activate the card. The current prices are on the prices page.
In Copenhagen: activate and go
Activate the card in the app when you want to start, for example at the airport before you take the Metro into the city. From that moment the card runs by the hour, so a 24-hour card activated at 14:00 is valid until 14:00 the next day.
At attractions and on public transport
At each included attraction you show the QR code at the entrance. Each attraction is free once per card. A few attractions, such as Home of Carlsberg, ask you to book a time slot in advance. On Metro, bus and S-tog you simply board; you show the card only if there is an inspection. More on the public transport page.

Choose a duration and book
Pick 24 or 48 hours and the number of adults and children. You receive the order code by email after booking. - 2
Load the card in the app
Install the Copenhagen Card City Guide app and enter the order code from your confirmation email. - 3
Activate on arrival
Activate the card in the app once you are in Copenhagen. From then on it runs without a break for the chosen duration. - 4
Show the QR code
At the entrance of each included attraction and on public transport you show the QR code in the app.
Questions about using the card
Do I get a physical card? +
No. The Copenhagen Card exists only in the app. There is no plastic card and no collection point.
When should I activate the card? +
Only once you are in Copenhagen and want to start. The validity runs by the hour from activation, so activating at home would cost you time.
Do I need mobile data on site? +
No. Once loaded and activated, the card works offline.
Can I cancel the booking? +
Yes. For the booking offered here through Headout you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your chosen start date.
